Business Strategy for ADHDers
Hey there, I'm Sky! As an ADHDer I have always been passionate about business and doing things my way. It wasn't until later in my adult years that I finally had the balls to take the leap, ditch the people pleasing, give fear the middle finger and start my own business!
With four kids under five (one with ADHD and Autism) I quit my 9-5 government job, encouraged my husband to do the same and we went all in on creating my own psychology practice.
What started as an idea has now become a 7-figure business, allowing my husband and I to have more time with the kids, holidays, choosing our own hours and has set us up financially in investment property.
Now I want to help you too. Because here's the thing if my ADHD brain can do it, so can yours!
I am here to teach you step by step how to start and grow your business in a way that suits your ADHD brain. It's time to stop doing things the neurotypical way and start doing them your way.
This podcast is the perfect place for you to connect, learn, and see that your ADHD business dreams get to become a reality. So come and hang out and let me share my journey with you!

And if you're listening and you're like, Sky, like I've never ever allowed myself the freedom to think outside the walls that I currently live in. Well, guess what? This is your time to shine, right? Full permission from me. If you can't give it to yourself, To actually start like broadening those blinkers that you've had on in your life and looking outside of it I am so excited to be finally back talking to you all like it has been a red hot minute So if you are new to this space Welcome my focus instead of just being on broad mental health. I've really kind of niched down a little bit in terms of ADHD and so What I wanna do every week is answer your questions about A DHD. Too often in life, like we are going through each and every day, that is very similar experience to the day before. If we want to create more fun, more play, allow for male like creativity or imagination in our lives, then we actually need to be exposing ourselves to different experiences. Now, if you think about it, look at the way that kids learn, right? They learn through exploration, through curiosity, and that just, it lights them up. It excites them, right? It has them feeling like, you know, life is like amazing. And then what happens is, as we become the adult, is that We lose sight of that and we got caught up in like the nine to five grind or the busy or the doing or the tasks or the worry or the stresses, or I could keep literally going. Right? So your task for me or for yourself, should I say, is to think about like, is there something that would be a little like outside of the box for you? Like a bit left center. That you've always kind of had this little inkling that you kind of wanted to do, but you've never actually given yourself full permission to do it. And I want you to actually commit and give yourself permission to go all in, like burn in the boats. Remember there's no escape and do the fucking thing. And if you're listening and you're like, Sky, like I've never ever allowed myself the freedom to think outside the walls that I currently live in. Well, guess what? This is your time to shine, right? Full permission from me if you can't give it to yourself. To actually start like broadening those blinkers that you've had on in your life and looking outside of it, you know, maybe it's something that you wanted to study or maybe it's somewhere that you wanted to go or maybe it's an experience that you wanted to have. Like maybe it's even just going to a concert or a festival, going away on a holiday on your own, you know, spending the weekend at, I don't know, camping on the beach somewhere that's legal, like whatever it is, like it's less It's relevant what the thing is and more relevant that it's something that is a desire that you have and it's outside of what is currently normal for you. Because here's the thing, if you want to reset, if you want to grow, we need to learn to kind of push the edges of what we think our life currently is or what we think is currently available to us. You know, our mind is so powerful in that whatever you think is available to you, you That is all that will be seen that is available to you. So once you start pushing outside of the edges and kind of almost like, think about it like turning your head to the left and the right and seeing that, you know, the map of the world is bigger than you think it is. Then you get to start growing, you get to start stretching your world, you get to start experiencing different feelings. So this is your task. I want to hear about it. I want to know like, where are you going to push the edges? What exciting thing are you going to do? And it might, for you, it might not be exciting. It might be relaxing or it might be learning or like insert whatever fucking word fits for you because this is your life and your experience and you get to interpret this and every other day in a way that suits you. But let me know and if you want support jump in the Facebook group. I am available to be that cheerleader I'm excited to see what you guys come up with
