Business Strategy for ADHDers
Hey there, I'm Sky! As an ADHDer I have always been passionate about business and doing things my way. It wasn't until later in my adult years that I finally had the balls to take the leap, ditch the people pleasing, give fear the middle finger and start my own business!
With four kids under five (one with ADHD and Autism) I quit my 9-5 government job, encouraged my husband to do the same and we went all in on creating my own psychology practice.
What started as an idea has now become a 7-figure business, allowing my husband and I to have more time with the kids, holidays, choosing our own hours and has set us up financially in investment property.
Now I want to help you too. Because here's the thing if my ADHD brain can do it, so can yours!
I am here to teach you step by step how to start and grow your business in a way that suits your ADHD brain. It's time to stop doing things the neurotypical way and start doing them your way.
This podcast is the perfect place for you to connect, learn, and see that your ADHD business dreams get to become a reality. So come and hang out and let me share my journey with you!

that you spend a lot of time like watching or on or, you know, in, if you feel like that's And then think about it, like, well, what am I watching on social media? You know, what am I taking in? How is that making me feel? I am so excited to be finally back talking to you all. Like, it has been a red hot minute. So if you are new to this space, welcome. My focus, instead of just being on broad mental health, I've really kind of niched down a little bit in terms of ADHD. And so, what I want to do every week is answer your questions. about ADHD. We can't actually reset in clutter, right? And whether that's like a cluttered mind or a cluttered environment or clutter in relationships, like we need to get like really clear on like where we're spending our time and what that environment is doing to us. So I want you to just for a moment, like think about Just the places that during the week you spend the most time in and maybe it's like a place in your house like the lounge room or your bedroom or maybe it's the back deck or maybe it's a coffee shop or it's a work office or it's a friend's house or like it's the beach like wherever you are spending. The most time in your week, like pick the top three like destinations, right? So for me, it would be probably the my work and my work office It would be my lounge room at home and it would be my bedroom, like literally they would be the three places that I probably spend the most time in, in the week. And then what I want you to do is I want you to go into those spaces and I almost want you to allow yourself to just, you know, stop, take a breath and just notice like what feelings come up for you in these spaces. What thoughts are triggered in these spaces? What relationships tend to show up in these spaces? You know, when you take a look around, like what are you seeing? How is that making you feel? You know, are you in that space feeling inspired and passionate and energetic and like ready to go? Or is it creating like calm for you and serenity or you know, is there so much clutter or you're feeling like anxious and Overwhelmed and stressed. Or is there a sense of boredom? Like really start to get clear on how the environment is impacting you. Because if we want to reset and we want to change things in our life and we want to move forward, what we don't want to do is do it in a way that pushes shit uphill. And what I mean by that is that quite often our environment. Other people, whether intentionally or unintentionally, like our internal thoughts and feelings, all of that stuff can be a dead weight, holding us back and keeping us from doing the things that we want to do if we're not careful. And I'm even talking here about like your phone, like maybe your phone is a space that you spend a lot of time like watching or on, or, you know, in, if you feel like that's the case for you. Right. And then think about it. Like, well, what am I watching on social media? What am I listening to? You know, what am I taking in? How is that making me feel? You know, I want you to think about for a moment for you in particular, in order for you to reset, to grow, to move forward, like insert your words there. What are the feelings or what is the energy that you need to create within yourself for that to happen? Like, just take a moment and write it down. What are the feelings or what is the energy that is needed to be created for you to make whatever that thing is that you want to happen? Now, maybe for you, what it might like for me in particular, it would be like, I need a sense of like feeling like passion and excitement and like high energy and vibing and like, you know, just ready to kind of fucking grow. Right? Like I need that, like woof, like that feeling, right? And that, that strives me, that helps me kind of get where I want to go. For you, you might be like, that's not me, Sky. Like I actually need groundedness and calm and serenity, right? That might be what you need for someone else. You might be like, Ooh, I actually need like that little bit of good anxiety, like those butterflies in that kind of like, you know, like the, Ooh, nervous, gonna do the thing. Like I need that to kind of get me going, right? Like, really think about it. And then what I want you to do is compare the two. Are the environments that you're currently in, that you're currently spending time in giving you the energy and the feelings that you need in order to grow and reset? And if they're not, that's okay. But what we need to think about is like, well, why not? Like, let's get curious. Like, is it the people that you're spending the time with? Like they're just not into the things you're in or they're quite negative and they're pulling you down. Is it that you're an environment and you love outdoor in nature and you've got no window and you're just feeling really kind of disconnected from things? Are you in an environment like sometimes for me, it's like there's so much fucking clutter that my mind just can't get clear and it overwhelms the fuck out of me. You know, what? What can you actually do to change the environment that you're in to have more of the feelings and the energy that you need? That is your task for today, right? So first thing recap, we are going to do observations of the environments that we are in, and that includes looking at thoughts, feelings, people like what shows up in that environment. Then two, what kind of energies and feelings and thoughts are we having in the current environment? Three. What What energy and feelings do we need in order to reset? And then four, if our current environment is not giving us that, what are we going to do to make some positive changes so that we can work on growth and resetting?
