Business Strategy for ADHDers
Hey there, I'm Sky! As an ADHDer I have always been passionate about business and doing things my way. It wasn't until later in my adult years that I finally had the balls to take the leap, ditch the people pleasing, give fear the middle finger and start my own business!
With four kids under five (one with ADHD and Autism) I quit my 9-5 government job, encouraged my husband to do the same and we went all in on creating my own psychology practice.
What started as an idea has now become a 7-figure business, allowing my husband and I to have more time with the kids, holidays, choosing our own hours and has set us up financially in investment property.
Now I want to help you too. Because here's the thing if my ADHD brain can do it, so can yours!
I am here to teach you step by step how to start and grow your business in a way that suits your ADHD brain. It's time to stop doing things the neurotypical way and start doing them your way.
This podcast is the perfect place for you to connect, learn, and see that your ADHD business dreams get to become a reality. So come and hang out and let me share my journey with you!

You know, so many of us are caught up in what do other people want or what do other people expect of me? It's not often that we actually go, hang on a minute. What about me? The human here that has to be with me for the rest of my life. What do I want to choose in this moment? And then Really getting clear on if I'm choosing this, what direction is this leading me to? I am so excited to be finally back talking to you all. Like, it has been a red hot minute. So if you are new to this space, welcome. My focus, instead of just being on broad mental health, I've really kind of niched down a little bit in terms of ADHD. And so what I want to do every week is answer your questions. About ADHD, you know, we all go through our days on automatic pilot, just doing the thing. Like you would find like you get up in the morning, you're just, you're already doing and playing out the same day today that you did yesterday. And if you want to reset, then we need to learn the out of the pause. And so what I want you to do is I want you to actually action like minimum five times a day, the pause. Right. So maybe you're going to do it in the morning before you start your day or at morning tea or at lunch or at afternoon tea or in the evening, like pick some times throughout the day where you pause. And in that pause, what it will do is it'll allow space and time for you to actually choose differently because reset really means to choose different. Right? There's no point in resetting if we don't change anything because we literally will end up in the same place as we are now in the next week, two weeks, three months, four years, right? Resetting means allowing time. For choice, allowing time to pause, allowing time in the moment to check in with yourself. What do I want to choose in this moment? You know, so many of us are caught up in what do other people want or what do other people expect of me? It's not often that we actually go, hang on a minute. What about me? The human here that has to be with me for the rest of my life. What do I want to choose in this moment? And then Really getting clear on if I'm choosing this, what direction is this leading me to? Right? Because if you're choosing from a place of like a big blow up and being reactive and emotion, it's like, Oh, fuck it. I'm choosing the chocolate right now. Cause I just want it. What you're actually choosing is to get rid of a feeling or as if you're actually like consciously in that moment and Noticing your body Noticing how you feel Noticing what direction you are headed for in that day. Like let's say you really want to work on your health How is eating chocolate in that moment? Serving you your body your mind your life the direction that you want to go It's not but it's not until we see it And we get super clear on our choice and where it's going to lead us to that we actually can decide which one we want to make. So your task today is the pause. Choose five times a day. Start today. Pause. Check in. What am I noticing? What am I thinking? What am I feeling? What do I want in this moment? What direction am I wanting my life to take? And based on those answers. What choice am I going to make right now in this moment for me that will move me in the direction that I want to go?
